Coasters for Special Events!

Are you looking for a special party or wedding favor to give to people who come to your event? I may be able to help you out. I made these for a friend who plays the harp for wedding, corporate events, etc. She played at our wedding and is exceptional. Her blog is at the end of my blog. She is doing a small bridal show and needed 25 gifts to give to the people who are coming to the event. She ordered these tiles to give to the Brides-To-Be. They will be given in a pretty mesh bag with both our business cards. I think they turned out lovely and would be so excited, if I were a bride, to get one of these as a 'freebie' at an event. I hope all her potential clients will enjoy the coasters.

I also personalized one tile with our monogram and wedding date to use as a sample for customers. I think these would make lovely gifts for a bride. One could include 2 coasters, 2 wine glasses with a bottle of wine and it would make a lovely gift for a Bridal Shower or Engagement party. Coasters such as these would also be great as bridal, anniversary or wedding favors for guests.

Golf Tile Coaster

A friend of mine from out of state wanted me to make a tile coaster for her boss for Christmas. He's a big golfer and I had no golf stamp sets. So, I asked my wonderful knowledgeable Stampin Up upline, Nicole, if she had any golf stamps. No, she didn't but she always has wonderful ideas. She gave me this one...I used a sea sponge to stamp the greens and browns on the tile for the golf greens. Then used the pennant from the SU set Sock Monkey Accessories to make the flag. I used a straight edge to extend the flag pole down to the ground. I used white Staz-on ink and a pencil eraser to make the golf ball. I see there is a little glare from the flash beside the ball. There is really only 1 ball on the green! I have a set of Sharpie markers that I added some detail with to make the hole and highlight the grass in some areas. I also used my Just Rite stamper set with all the little letters to make the golf words. I had to Google golf terms to make sure I got them right...I no nothing about golf except you try to whack the ball into a hole! Anyway, Thanks, Nicole, for the wonderful idea and I hope my friend scores a 'hole in one' with her golf themed Christmas gift to her boss!

Terrific Tiles!

Here are a few double sets of tiles that I am making for a customer. I love the Halloween set! I used the retired Stampin Up! set Carved and Candlelit for the pumpkins, Pocket Silhouettes for the grass and the words came from a $1 bin at a local craft store.

This set was made using the current SU! set Upsy Daisy and I love how they look on these tiles. I also used the retired SU background stamp, French Script and an old, old retired set (not even sure of the names) for the verse from Proverbs, "A Friend Loveth at All Times". I inked around the edges of the tiles to give it a framed burnt look and I think it really adds a lot to the set. I hope my client loves these!

These retail for $2.50 for single tiles, $10 for a set of 4 tiles and $20 for a set of 8. I can personalize or monogram tiles as well so if anyone is interested in a set for gifts, let me know!

Tile Happy!!!!!!!!

Boy, have I been having fun with these tile coasters. They are so cute and such an easy, fast gift to make. I made the set with the names on them for the boys' teachers this year, and the other sets for the Freedom Festival booth. I know I will be adding these cute little coasters into my normal line-up of items one can order from Hartley Handcrafted. I've already sold 5 sets! YIPPY! Again, these come in sets of 4 for $10 per set.

Freedom Festival Sneak Peek #2

Well, I've been having fun making Tumbled Tile Coasters. Here are a few that I have made up already but am working on a few more sets. If you'd like to place an order for these, they are $10 for a set of 4 coasters bundled up with a ribbon. There are felt dots on the bottom so they wont scratch up furniture or wood. I have a set of these that a friend made me a few years back and they are the ONLY coasters we use!
