My uncle is turning 70 soon. He's flown planes for as long as I can remember. Got his big bash invite last week with this photo. We can't make it to the party but I hope he likes his card!!

I used the Stampin Up stamp set, Patterned Party, and the Petite Pennant Builder punch.

Back To School

It's that time already to be thinking about going back to school.  The summers always seem to go so very fast. I always have great intentions of getting lots of crafting done and spending time working on my scrapbooks.  But, again, that didn't happen this summer.  The summer was filled with 18 days in California, Arizona and the lands in between. It was filled with early morning runs before it got too hot outside.  It was filled with time spent with my boys at the pool and walks to Dairy Queen. It was filled with late night TV and late morning sleep ins.  I wouldn't trade the summer for anything but now....now it is time to get back into the swing of things. My monthly stamp class/club meets this Thursday (always the 2nd Th of the month) and we will be making 2 teacher gifts. The fee is $5 for the class...pencils included!  RSVP so I'll know how many peeps will be coming.  Here is a sample of one of the teacher items we will be making. This box/wrapper can be used for any thin long object (candy bar, pixie stix, straws) so if you don't have a teacher in your life or the life of your child...not to worry, you can learn how to make the pencil holder and remake them later to fill with what you would like.  2nd item will be a note holder to match.  Now, who doesn't need more paper on their desk or note paper by the phone?  Hope you can make it.

Retirement Teacher Cards

I was asked by our Admin. Assistant and the Social Committee at our school to make retirement invitations for one of the teachers to give to family and friends for a retirment luncheon we are having for her.  This is what I came up with. I hope she likes them!!!

Scrappin Fun!

Thought I would update a few workshops I've had this Spring.  A few months ago, I Creative Memories Consultant friend and I co-hosted a Scrapbook Page workshop.  We each showcased our companies Scrapbook tooks, etc. and came up with some very fun scrap pages. We had a great turn out and it was a wonderful way to promote our very different crafting businesses!  Thanks, Rebecca, for hosting!!!

Here are the pages we made:

I'm so BAD!!!

I'm such a bad blogger! I can't believe it's been since January since I've updated things.  I think I need a blog time out. Shame on me!!!!

Well, here are a few items I made for teacher gifts for my kids teachers.  Took a box of graham crackers, packages of Hershey bars, and a package of marshmallows and tied it all together with a card on top that says "Hope you have S'more fun this summer!"

Turned out cute!!!

Also, see the new catalog link to the right.   Some really fun cool stuff!!!

Next Class.... Thursday,February 9th.

Here are the samples of the 3 cards we will be making at my next Stamp Class. I had a request for wedding cards so we will be making 2 wedding cards and 1 Valentine's Day card.
This card (above) uses the new stamp set, Love and Laughter from the new Occasions Mini catalog. You can view this set by clicking on the Occasions Mini catalog over on the right side of my blog. I used Whisper White cardstock, black ink, and white vellum cardstock as the overlay. I stamped the dress image and sentiments on the whister white cardstock. Then, using the vellum, laid it over the top of the card giving it a soft subtle look. I also used Stampin Up's 5/8 inch white whisper white satin ribbon for the bow at the top of the card This card is so simple to make but gives an air of elegance that is just right for any bridal occasion.

The second card uses Concord Crush and Very Vanilla cardstock. The butterflies are cut out of Pink Pirouette cardstock and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die on page 216 of the Idea Book and Catalog. I used Elegant Lines (pg. 219) embossing folder to emboss the Very Vanilla Cardstock. Basic Pearls were added (page 198) on the butterflies.

This Valentine's Day card was so much fun to make. It's a Pop Up card (see next picture for inside). I used I {heart} Hearts set (pagae 46) on Whisper White and Ruby Red cardstock. I used Ruby Red, Regal Rose, Cherry Cobbler and Real Red ink for the hearts. The Lace Ribbon Border punch (pg. 211) was used to make the white border across the top of the card. I also used some scraps of designer paper to punch out a few min hearts using the minin heart punch on page 210.

I cut out several hearts from the I {heart} Hearts stamp set along with a large heart punchusing the Full Heart punch on page 210. The pop up secret will be taught during this class. The sentiments "with all my (heart)" come from the set With All My Heart, page 47.

This class is $5 and will be held on th 2nd Thursday of February. Reply to this post or send me a note if you'd like to attend.
