It's Spring, Charlie!!

Inside of card

I just got my first shipment of Clear Dollar Stamps in this week and am so excited about little Charlie. I don't know what has gotten into me with little critters enjoying spring, but I'm having fun with Charlie and Lil' Peanut (the Ellie in the other posts).

Here is a card I made for a submission as a guest designer for April for Clear Dollar Stamps.

You can find more of their fun and oh, so neat stamps at http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/

I used Baja Breeze, Elegant Eggplant and Creamy Caramel paper. Also used my Martha Stewart punch to punch the lattice down the left hand side. A friend sent me a little box of vellum flowers and the purple ones were perfect for Charlie! I also used my Bic Mark It! markers to color Charlie and his little friend, the butterfly.
I hope you all have a wonderful spring and will enjoy the flowers and spring critters as much as Charlie does!

I just got my first order from Clear Dollar Stamps. One of my Splitcoast friends is one of their designers....Linda Borneman. She has awesome cards and is such an inspiration to me! This stamp set was on top of the stack so that's what I started with. I LOVE it. This little SWEET Hummingbird is so elegant and pretty. Here's where you can find more fun stuffs at Clear Dollar Stamps.
Check out Charlie the pony. He's up next..but maybe tomorrow. I'm tirrred!

Peeps!!!!!

It's been a few years since I've made these but wanted to post them. They are so fun to give away as teacher gifts, bus driver, piano teachers, neighbors, etc. I'm sure I found the recipe online years back and really enjoy making them and giving them away to the special people in our lives. I also have some for sale if anyone is interested. $12 each or 2 jars for $20. Post a comment to this post if you are local to my area and interested.
Here are the directions for any of you interested in putting peeps in a jar.
Easter S’Mores in a Jar

Directions for baking:
Empty the jar contents into a bowl. Snip the bunnies into bits with kitchen sheers or cut up with a knife. Return the bunny bits to the mixture and mix well. Melt ½ c. butter, add 1 t. vanilla. Pour this over the dry ingredients, mixing well. Pat into a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
*Option: leave the bunnies whole; combine remaining ingredients and place the bunnies on top; then bake as directed

Ingredients in the Jar:
Reduce 1 sleeve graham crackers to crumbs and layer 2/3 of the crumbs in a 1 qt. jar.
Place 8 marshmallow bunny peeps standing up, facing out around the inside of the jar pressing them against the glass, but don’t squash them.
Carefully, spoon remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep it snug.
On top of this pour 1 ½ c. Easter M&M’s.
Spoon 1/3 c. br. Sugar into center of M&M’s gently pressing with a spoon.
Decorate the lid of the jar however you please…tie curly ribbons around the neck of the jar.

Pregnant Card!!

My Card is Pregnant!!! :) I made this for a friend who just found out she and her hubby are expecting. I hope she likes it!
The stamp is from The Angel Company. It's one of their baby sets and has a pregnant mama included too. Love it!
This is the inside. I made the tag with the by using my Double Ended Tag Diecut by Spellbinders. I bought mine at StampersDream.
http://www.stampersdream.com
And the words on the tag say "Family Matters". I believe it's an EKSuccess library stamp that has various sentiments listed on it.

Gram's Card

Made this for my dear sweet Grandma who's birthday is this week. She turns 86, I think. She took a fall last week and is still on the mend so I'm hoping this doubles as a Birthday Card and Get Well/Feel Better card. She's a dear and I wish I could see her more often.
I used the new SU! Set, Thoughts and Prayers for this card. I love this set...it's quickly becoming one of my favorite SU! sets.

Happy Birthday, Grandma!!

He is Risen!

He is Risen INDEED!

I've been working on a few Easter cards and appreciate the fact that our Lord loved us enough to send his son, and his son, Jesus, loved us enough to die for our sins. I think about this often throughout my days, but for us and our family, it is the TRUE meaning of Easter.

I made this card to send to some very dear people around Easter. I hope you all know how much Jesus loves YOU and sent his son to die for your sins, too. Hallelujah!!! He is Risen....He is Risen Indeed!!!

The cross is a single stamp that I found at Michael's. I love the intricate design of this stamp. The flowers are from the SU set Noteworthy. The sentiments "He is Risen" are off my computer. Ha! I didn't have a stamp to say what I wanted so just typed it up and printed it on cardstock. I've not ever used these pearls on any projects but am loving the detail they bring to cards. I think I will be buying more!
