Pencil Boxes Make Great Teacher Gifts!!!

I'm a teacher by trade and love getting ideas to make teacher gifts for my kids teachers. I love getting little goodies as a teacher, too.....just perks up my day, so know my boys teachers will enjoy these 'beginning of the school year' teacher gifts. I'm not sure I have the measurements down 100%. A friend shared a pencil wrapper idea from her blog then I found on another blog a box for votives and other box for 4 pencils. I wanted a box for 8 pencils so came up with this design. If you want more info, just ask and I can e-mail you the dimensions....maybe I'll have them worked out by then! Ha! Otherwise, you can purchase these boxes with pencils included for $4.00 each. I hope to have a bunch made up prior to the beginning of school and will have them at my craft booths this fall.

Nichole is Hosting a Workshop....so can YOU!!!

One of my friends', Angela, had a workshop for me a few months ago. This is her second workshop she's had for me (She's the Hostess with the Mostess!). And, now, her friend, Nichole is having a workshop the first part of August. THANKS GIRLS!!!

Below are the sample cards we will be making at Nichole's workshop. Each person who attends will make these 3 cards for FREE. Nichole, being the hostess, just has to open up her home for the fun event and provide a few simple snacks. In return, she will get a free ink pad (while supplies last), a free NEW 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog, and with a qualifying party of $150 she will also get $15 in free Stampin Up items and a free hostess stamp set of her choice. Lots and lots of benefits and freebies right now. I would love it if YOU would consider hosting a Stampin Up workshop in your home, too!

Vacation and Cards!!

This summer is nearly OVER and I can't believe it. My boys start back to school on August 11...wayyyy too early in my opinion. Hubby was in Italy for work earlier this month for 2 weeks, we've had church camps for the boys, vacation in the Smokeys last week and finally home for a few weeks of quiet (hahah, that never happens) before the boys go back to school. I have a few weeks after they begin before my school begins. Summer.....always goes too fast!

Here are a few cards that I made for my club this month. I have 6 wonderful ladies in my club and might have 2 more. We just started this month and had a wonderful time. If anyone wants to stop by for a club meeting, you are free to do so. We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month.
This is a simple Buckle Card. You can find directions here . I used Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. The designer paper is from an old set of Stampin Up paper called Summer Picnic. I made the apple core by using the Round Tab Extra Large punch and coloring in the skin and seeds with my Stampin Write markers. I printed the sentiments off on my computer and the inside says "keeps the doctor away! Please feel better!" I also used the Extra Large 2 3/8 Scalloped Circle punch to make the scalloped circle behind the apple.
This card uses a new Two Step Stampin set called Awash With Flowers. I used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip cardstock. The tab on the right of the main image was used by punching out one Curly Labels Extra Large punch and adhering half of the punch behind the image. The metal hardware that contains the sentiments is from the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware set. I also used Chocolate Chip ribbon across the edges of the Pumpkin Pie strip. I used the SU Petals Aplenty embossing folder and ran the Pumpkin Pie strip through my Cuttlebug.
All these supplies can be ordered off my Stampin Up website located to the right. Just click on the Stampin Up catalog. You can also purchase these cards from The Loft. The Apple card is $2.50 and the Flower card with the metal hardware is $3.00 E-mail if you are interested or if there are any stampin needs I can help you with...I'm happy to assist!

New Catalog is HERE!!!!

The new Catalog is going live later today so click the catalog picture over to the right to see all the new fun stamps.

Below are a few samples of cards made from a few of the new stamps.

This card is made from the new Because I Care Hostess stamp set. This is a set that you can earn for free byhosting a workshop in your home! I used two new colors, as well. Crumb cake and Cherry Cobbler. I can already tell that these two colors will be some of my favorites! This is one of the cards we will be making at my July Stampin Workshop. All are invitied!!

This set, Elements of Style, is in the Summer Mini but I'm thrilled to see that it was carried over to the new catalog. Tis is one of the most elegant sets I think Stampin Up has come out with. Truly beautiful. I used Cameo Coral cardstock and Whisper White Craft ink. I made this for a wedding card but it could be used for anything.
