Cool Down Summer Cards!!!

It's been either rainy or HOT here in Indiana the last few weeks so I thought I'd demonstrate a few 'cool' cards. These are two that I demonstrated at a workshop in a customers home this past weekend. You can make similar cards if you host a workshop in your home. We typically make 3 cards....all of your guests will make the cards for FREE. Let me know if you are interested in hosting a workshop in your home! They really are fun, easy and relaxing!

I used the Sweet Scoops stamp set out of the SU Summer Mini catalog. This set is so fun and 'cool'!! Will cool off any ones hot summer day if they get a card with cool scoops on it! I used Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise card stock. Originally, I used SU's scalloped border punch but had a few young girls try to punch through 3 layers of card stock and it broke my punch. I'm so sad!! :( Goes with the territory though. So, I used a Martha Stewart punch for the one I made at home to take a picture of after the workshop. The Designer Paper is from an old set that SU had a while back. It's since been retired but I still have some! :)
I was browsing around Splitcoast Stampers this week and found a cute tutorial for these Cup Cards. They are really neat and you can find the tutorial at www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/cup_card/

I used Happy Thoughts as my sentiments and Green Galore, Cameo Coral and Rose Red card stock.

That cup card is so cool! Although we get a lot of cones in our house too, so it would be a toss up for a favorite.

Beth, these are just too cute! I love the cup card. The colors made me feel cooler just looking at them. Thanks for sharing the link.
