Bunches of Punches!

My next stamp club/workshop at our home is going to focus on Stampin Up Punches. This sample uses the new Two Step Bird punch (#117191 $16.95) which I simply adore. It's so easy to use and put together. I used Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Rose Red for the colored cardstock and whisper white for the base of the card. I scored a 1/4 inch line on the Wild Wasabi and lined up the circle punches along that line on the back of the Wild Wasabi main image cardstock. The score, that you can't really see in the photo, adds a little dimension to the card, too. I used the 1 1/4 inch Circle Punch for the circle scalloped edge (#119861 $15.95). I also used the Filigree Designer Brads (#112577 $5.95) for the floral brad inset in the upper right corner of the main image. I used the oval punch (#119855 $15.95) and the small sclloped oval punch (#119856 $16.95) for the sentiments. The stamp sets I used were Elements of Style (Wood #118611 $$27.95 or Clear Mount #120045 $19.95) and With All My Heart (Wood #118134 $17.95 Clear Mound #118623 $13.95)

You can make this card, and 3 others, using the Stampin UP! punches by coming to my next class offerend on Thursday, August 12th, at 7:00. The class fee is $5 for 4 cards making it only $1.25 for each card. Hope you can make it. Please RSVP if you can!! You can purchase this card for $2.50 from The Loft (my 'store' of baskets full of cards that I make in my loft!).
And, as always, thank you for stopping by Hartley Handcrafted at Home!

Your card kind of matches your blog background here, he he!!
So this is cute, don't know if you enter for challenges, but this week's Stamping Sisters in Christ is to use a bird on your card...I've been planning on making one with this punch too!!

My mother loves this kind of thing. The whole personalize cards thing seems very logical to me. Ever hear Jim Gaffigan's material on cards?: "'Happy Birthday'? You couldn't think that up yourself?"
