Stamp Club this Week!!!

Howdy all!!!

Stamp Club is this week on Thursday. I have plenty of space so let me know if you'd like to attend. For Club Members, this meeting is a Hostess Month meeting and you will need to place your order. The class fee is waved since you are ordering. Others may come and join us for the class. The cost is $8. Let me know if you are interested.

.
Above is the Diaper Fold Pouch. This name always just makes me laugh. Must be cuz I have boys and can just hear them say "Awwwww, you said diaper!!" This is such a fun packet to make and a pouch of Hot Chocolate fits right in. This would make a great card to give as a gift along with a new mug, coaster, etc. I used an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 square of Very Vanilla for the card base. I rolled the Take A Sip wheel across portions of the Very Vanilla. The ink I used is Early Espresso and the designer paper is Autumn Spice...all Stampin Up items. If you are interested in making one of these....come to my monthly stamp class this Thursday. The fee is $8 for all 3 items shown here.

This card is the Ghirardelli Pocket Card. I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the card base and Very Vanilla for the inside. I used the stamp set Christ is Born for the poinsettia and the sentiments. The Poinsettia is also cut out and on the front of the paper with Jolly Holiday designer paper. These make fun Secret Santa treats to leave on your co-workers desk, or stuff into a stocking for Christmas.

We will also be making this nugget tin. It holds 10 Hershey nuggets. I stamped on address labels then you peel and stick the label around the nugget. This set is a retired hostess set from last years catalog. I'm such a dork...I thought this was a new set. I found it in my stack of Christmas Stamps still not put together. So, I assumed I had ordered it just for these tins for this class. Then I got to typing up the directions for my Stamp Club ladies and realized that this set was a retried hostess set. Oh, well, an updated stamp set that I would use would be Sparkly and Bright on page 44 of the catalog, or the Jumbo Roller Sparkling on the same page. Serene Snowflakes would also be a great one to use for this.

Nugget Tins and more for Christmas!!!

This year I am making Nugget Tins for Christmas gifts. These hold 12 Hershey nuggets, each decorated to match the tin. Tins sell for $6 each and make wonderful Stocking Stuffers, gifts for Secret Santa's, Teachers, Bus Drivers, Music Lesson Teachers, Daycare providers, etc.

I also have lots of cards for sale so if you'd like a misc. box of 8-10 cards as a gift to give, I can work those up for you, too. Just let me know what you'd like inside....b-day cards, thank yous, sympathy, baby, welcome, etc! Cards run between $2.25-$2.50 each for these boxes.

Other gift ideas are listed in my Labels section on the blog.....down to the right. Just click on any topic and some idea will come up....coasters, tins, Christmas, monogramed stationary folders,etc......

Respond to this post, or call or e-mail if you are local.

Merry Christmassssssss............

Love Is In The Air!!!

It's snowing buckets of snow today so I thought I'd warm my heart by working on a few Valentine's Day projects. The first is a mini nugget tin filled with 6 Hershey nuggets. I made one of these for our Mail Carrier at Christmas and got the cutest Thank You back.....these make super little treats for people in your life....especially the mail carrier who has to work in this snow and cold...brrrrr...just the treat they need on a cold day.

Also, the Mini I Love You Note tin is filled with 10 mini notes that one can jot down an "I Love You" and tuck in your hubby's brief case, your child's lunch box, your mom's book, or on your plate of cookies with dad's coffee, etc....
I remembered this wonderful technique that my friend, Peggysue, had used on a Paper Trey Ink Santa. She stamped the image on clear overhead, then put glitter on the back of the image. It was such a beautiful look for Santa. So I tried that same technique on this heart on the lid. I stamped the image with Staz-on on the outside of the lid, then glued glitter (and lots of it) on the inside of the lid.
The Hearts are from PaperTrey Ink's Heart Prints http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_heartprints.html
I also got an idea jog for the I Love You tin from my February issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine. The idea came from Maggie Holmes on page 71. Her tins are different, I believe, and the cards are larger, but I love the note idea using the tins.
Thanks, Peggysue, Maggie and Creating Keepsakes, for a wonderful idea.
I had fun working on these today...keeping warm. I hope they warmed your heart too.
