Sweet Little Baby Girl!

Made this baby card for a friend who wanted to welcome her friend's new daugher into the world. Isn't she a cutie pie?? I love her name, too. What a sweetheart.

I used Pretty in Pink SU cardstock and some retired Valentine's day paper from SU. I hope Madison's mommy and daddy love her card and gift from my friend Dawn.

Love Birds

I think I'm getting punch happy from 2 snow days and not leaving my house at all. I love my bird punch from Stampin Up and thought it would make the cutest Valentine's Day cards. My Stamp Club is having a little card swap this month and we are to each bring Valentine cards to share with each other. Here are a few of my creations.

It's that time of year again to be thinking about all the people we love in our lives. February 14th is quickly approaching. Some people we might want to give special cards or gifts to on Valentine's Day. Others just need a big hug or comforting words to get them through a tough day. Either way, I hope that you will be showering people with love all around you this Valentine's Day. Actually, we are called to love others every day, not just on Valentine's. Our small group Bible study is going through a book called One Month to Live by Kerry and Chris Shook. This book is built on the premise of....what if you found out you only had one month to life. How would you live differently? What would you say to your neighbor today if you knew you were going to die tomorrow? Why wait till you know you are are going to die to say it or do it? And, quite frankly, most of us will never know when we are going to die...so we should live as if this will be our last day. Live to the fullest. Love those around you. Say what is in your heart of hearts to say to people that might change their lives! Love, love, love.......

A friend of mine ordered a few Valentine's Day cards for some special friends and sweet little girls in her life. These are the cards I made for her. I hope she likes them and I hope the recipients will feel her arms around them as they open their cards. No card details in today's note....I mostly just wanted to share from the heart.

A HUGE Thank You.....

A customer and friend of mine needed several Thank You cards for a dear friend who collects elephants. These cards are full of HUGE Thank You wishes! It didn't really take me a TON of time but it was pretty WILD finding soft pretty papers to match the JUNGLE theme of the ELEPHANT. I hope this card TRUMPETS "Thank You" to the person receiving it. Now, if I just had a nice crispy ELEPHANT EAR to munch on, I'd be all set!!!

All papers are from Stampin' Up!. The Elephant image is from an older The Angel Company stamp set. The sentiments on the first card are from the SU set, I Believe.

Just a little Behind......

Well, I WISH I had a little behind. But I AM really behind and haven't even started on our Christmas cards. We have no family picture (with our newest member, our dog Tessa, included), no holiday newsy smoozy letter typed up and ready to send out, no tree up (it's broken, but that's an entirely DIFFERENT story), but the stockings are hung by the chimney with care in hopes that Dear Old Santa will soon be here!

I do have to share with my readers an amazing little book called Love Letters. I met a dear soul, Rosa Szynski, at one of my craft bazaars. She bought a few cards and told me about the book she was writing. This was a year ago October. Since then, the book has been completed. Rosa's book is all about listening to those inner voices (well, for me, I have many! LOL) but listening to those promptings in our hearts and head that tell us to pen words on paper out to someone. Words of encouragement, self confidence, thankfulness, prayers, and most of all, words straight from our hearts. Rosa came to my Holiday Open House with several other vendors last weekend. She had pre-ordered cards from me to bundle up and go along with her book. I'd forgotten to take pictures but I have her little treasure so took a few of my own.

Stamp Club this Week!!!

Stamp Club is this week on Thursday. I have plenty of space so let me know if you'd like to attend. For Club Members, this meeting is a Hostess Month meeting and you will need to place your order. The class fee is waved since you are ordering. Others may come and join us for the class. The cost is $8. Let me know if you are interested.

Above is the Diaper Fold Pouch. This name always just makes me laugh. Must be cuz I have boys and can just hear them say "Awwwww, you said diaper!!" This is such a fun packet to make and a pouch of Hot Chocolate fits right in. This would make a great card to give as a gift along with a new mug, coaster, etc. I used an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 square of Very Vanilla for the card base. I rolled the Take A Sip wheel across portions of the Very Vanilla. The ink I used is Early Espresso and the designer paper is Autumn Spice...all Stampin Up items. If you are interested in making one of these....come to my monthly stamp class this Thursday. The fee is $8 for all 3 items shown here.

This card is the Ghirardelli Pocket Card. I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the card base and Very Vanilla for the inside. I used the stamp set Christ is Born for the poinsettia and the sentiments. The Poinsettia is also cut out and on the front of the paper with Jolly Holiday designer paper. These make fun Secret Santa treats to leave on your co-workers desk, or stuff into a stocking for Christmas.

We will also be making this nugget tin. It holds 10 Hershey nuggets. I stamped on address labels then you peel and stick the label around the nugget. This set is a retired hostess set from last years catalog. I'm such a dork...I thought this was a new set. I found it in my stack of Christmas Stamps still not put together. So, I assumed I had ordered it just for these tins for this class. Then I got to typing up the directions for my Stamp Club ladies and realized that this set was a retried hostess set. Oh, well, an updated stamp set that I would use would be Sparkly and Bright on page 44 of the catalog, or the Jumbo Roller Sparkling on the same page. Serene Snowflakes would also be a great one to use for this.
