One of a Kind!

A friend of mine from church had surgery on her foot and isn't able to wear many of her shoes anymore. She sold me a bunch of pairs for cheap, cheap, then gave me a few others. I really appreciated it so much and wanted to make a special card for her as a Thank You. She used to make cards, too, so I'm sure she will get a kick out of this. As you can see, one pair is obviously a different caliber from the others. The sentiments on the inside of the card says "You R One of a Kind!". I hope she enjoys it as she is one of a kind! Thanks, Priscilla, for all the shoes!

Golf Tile Coaster

A friend of mine from out of state wanted me to make a tile coaster for her boss for Christmas. He's a big golfer and I had no golf stamp sets. So, I asked my wonderful knowledgeable Stampin Up upline, Nicole, if she had any golf stamps. No, she didn't but she always has wonderful ideas. She gave me this one...I used a sea sponge to stamp the greens and browns on the tile for the golf greens. Then used the pennant from the SU set Sock Monkey Accessories to make the flag. I used a straight edge to extend the flag pole down to the ground. I used white Staz-on ink and a pencil eraser to make the golf ball. I see there is a little glare from the flash beside the ball. There is really only 1 ball on the green! I have a set of Sharpie markers that I added some detail with to make the hole and highlight the grass in some areas. I also used my Just Rite stamper set with all the little letters to make the golf words. I had to Google golf terms to make sure I got them right...I no nothing about golf except you try to whack the ball into a hole! Anyway, Thanks, Nicole, for the wonderful idea and I hope my friend scores a 'hole in one' with her golf themed Christmas gift to her boss!

Doggie, Doggie, Where's Your Bone??

I have a dear sweet customer whose doggie was sick a few weeks ago. They were really worried about him and their vet took such good care of him during that time. She wanted me to make up a few Thank You cards to give to the vet and the staff at the office. I took my friend's picture off her Facebook page and printed off the dogs picture to use for the front of the card. The one that was sick is the one on the right, I think. Anyway, I couldn't resist adding a milkbone to the front of the first card. The card is a little top heavy but I love how it turned out. The second card has a rawhide chew attached to the left side of the card.

I love personalizing cards in any way, shape or form! :) And these were especially fun since we have gotten a dog to add to our family too! Her picture is below the cards! :)
